Kharmah was a baby lizard alone on the wall,
when suddenly with a great 'BOOM' he heard something fall.
He twisted his neck around to take a look,
what he saw next really made him spooked.
Wings on the back, a wand in a hand,
and in the other was a huge electric fan.
It was the Hairball Fairy, shaped like a cat,
how else would she appear, other than that.
So scared Kharmah was, his tail dropped right off,
'Oh dearie me, poor thing,' the Hairball Fairy coughed.
With a swish and a swash and pointing to Kharmah's head,
'To compensate you, I will give you magic!' the Hairball Fairy said.
Kharmah nearly fell off the wall, oh yes he almost did,
Because the Fairy pointed the electric fan, a mistaken deed.
'Oh dearie me, I am sorry!' the Hairball Fairy squealed,
Pointing her wand and in him much magic she filled.
'You can turn invisible now,' the Hairball Fairy told Kharmah,
she happily instructed, 'Go home and tell your mama!'
She disappeared in a puff of smoke and a retching sound,
as though a hairball was being coughed out; huge, wet and round.
Kharmah could turn invisible and not be seen, not even a speck,
He could now grow fat as it is all better to sneak up on insects!
But when his tail drops off he cannot fade away,
only until his tail grows back, that very day.
