Found a Mini Cooper

The iconic Mini Cooper. The car of choice for the arty farty, rich types everywhere. A car with character, with style and with pizzazz. As the sales people at Mini Cooper like to say, ' You are not buying a car; you are buying a lifestyle.' My dream car when I have the disposable income when I get it along with a MPV to ferry my family around.
Can you believe it? Felicia, Barney and Joyce came out of the toilet at school and claimed they saw a Mini Cooper car key? That's right, the car key which could start the car! And they didn't take it at first! And instead of the car, they all wanted the key chain because it was that nice! And I agree, although I would gladly take the car anytime. I made them go back in to get the key and we went on an awesome adventure..
Running about like we were in the Amazing Race UB/SIM, we went searching for ultimate in a funky ride. Went to the basement varpark, pressed the 'Unlock' button til my hands were tired, no avail.
Ran up to the first floor carpark and did the same thing. Nothing. Took the stairs up to the second floor and ran to the open air carpark. And guess what? With cheery flashing lights, a Red Bull Mini cabriolet greeted us! And guess what we did? What any young person would do...
We.. locked the door and returned the keys to the security, not before we noted down the licence plate number of the car.. We did not take the car nor take it out for a spin. Aren't we the honest bunch? Hahaha.. It was tempting but.. Our good characters won out in the end.. Hahaha.. So here, I want to commend Barney, Felicia and Joyce for your strength of character and honesty! Others would not have done the same when in our shoes.. So a big hand all around! We are heros!!! Hahaha. Blubberboy, Head In The Cloud Girl, Good Demon Child (aka Zebra) and Super Slim Girl saves the day once again!

And a stupid picture but here's me with the keys.. Hahaha..

Getting a job

So I was thinking of working part time or teaching tuition to earn a bit of money. But the thing is that I am afraid that I will be unable to juggle both my studies and a part time job. Our days are just packed at UB/SIM with a ton of projects and quizzes. Hmmm.. Decisions, decisions..

Former love

Just in time for Valentine's Day, I just rediscovered and fell in love with one of my former loves today.. And that former love is.. Jogging! Hahaha. Went for a long run with azhar, kevin and travers today. From Singapore Poly to NUS to NUH to Alexandra Road to Buona Vista and back to Singapore Poly. Jogging lost its lustre with me since my army days training for the army half marathon. Too much work. But now, with a nice pair of running shoes (adizero Tempo, woohoo!), I am starting to feel that running may become pleasurable for me once more! I am dog tired but there's a pleasant buzz running through my body. Haven't felt so good in a long time. And jogging can help me lose weight! Ha!
Anyway, another 'lonesome' Valentine's Day again. Hahaha. Well, I am absolutely not caught up in the hype for Valentine's Day so the impact is not that great. And with so much work to do, I am somewhat relieved that I don't have to rack my brains to do something for a significant other. :P Well, it may sound like sour grapes but oh well. :) Anyway, to all lovers out there, enjoy Valentine's Day, amid the crush of people and sappy gestures! Don't get too caught up but take a step back to appreciate what you guys have! :)

Holiday spirit?

I just realised that year by year, the holiday spirit is slowly fading away. I remember Christmases and CNYs of yester-year, that there was always a sense of expectancy, a sense of festivity in the air. But alas, this spirit seems to have died out. Occasions for celebration has become just another holiday. Oh, the horror, the horror! But one thing I still like about CNY is the part where all of us get to buy new clothes and wear them when we go out visiting! One can't have enough reasons to buy new stuff. Hahaha.
Oh a less melodramatic note, it has been an exhausting CNY for me. Nah, not from collecting too many red packets. In fact, this year's 'harvest' is significantly lesser as I didn't get to see quite a number of my relatives this year. Oh well, que sara sara. Anyway, speaking of exhausting, I have been driving to and fro for the past 3 days. There has been no respite for me. Driving can get tiring, especially when your cousin calls you a chauffeur! Hahaha. Somehow, I just can't wait to get back to regular 'programming'. Hahaha. And and and.. I reckon that I have put on like 10 kilos from all the holiday good eats and snacking. Hahaha! And to think that I said in the previous post that I was going to put my masterplan into motion. I guess it can wait until next week! :P All the good friends whom I bonded with over the holidays such as pineapple tarts, hae bi hiam, love letters, kueh bangkit, cornflake cookies and assorted new best friends, I am going to have to say that it has been nice getting to know you so intimately but I have to get rid of the 'souvenirs' that your aquaintance has left on my body, namely fats, fats and more fats, soon. ;) Well, how soon is the issue here. :P

Pieces of the puzzle

Finally, all the pieces of the puzzle for me to fulfil my masterplan for the year ahead is in place. I will start working on my plan.. Tomorrow! Hopefully! Hahaha. Masterplan. Go, go go!!! :)
