Denime XX type Hot soak

So, instead of doing work, I put my Denimes in for a hot soak. Looking forward to wearing these babies. Took some measurements, and some pictures. Waiting for the results of the hot soak. Another half an hour or so, I am going to dump them into the dryer to dry and shrink them even more and try to stretch out the waist later. =D I should be working now so sue me...

Update: Just emptied the water and it's all yucky with the starch and a bit of the indigo running... The Denimes are in the washing machine right now then the dryer! So exciting!

Eternal 811 spoilt

This is such a weird time for me to blog. I am still in school and guess what?

The top button of my favourite pair of jeans, the Eternal 811s just broke off!!!! This is so saddening!!! I was in the toilet and the button just snapped off. The inner part of the button just crumbled into dust!!! ='( I am so upset now. Can't wear those until I fix the button. Getting too fat for my own good. Maybe it's time to break out my new pair of jeans! :) But sure hope that I can find a good tailor to repair the button.

I want a dog!

I was just at VivoCity with my mum just now and as usual, I will try to 'persuade' her to allow me to keep a dog whenever we are there by going to the pet shop. Before we went in today, I said, 'If there are shelties (which is the breed of dog that I absolutely love), it is a sign.' That's because pet shops don't have shelties often. And guess what?!?!?!? The pet shop had 3 shelties!!! They are absolutely adorable! I want one!!! My mum kept 'tempting' me by saying if I wanted one, I can go get... But looking after a dog is mucho responsibility. And expensive. A dog cannot be bought on impulse, much to consider. But then again, it's so nice to have a dog at home to play with, to love and to train. Hahaha. Oh man. I want my sheltie!!!!

Kiss from a rose

I just heard this song on the radio and it is so nice!

Seal is awesome!!! Kiss from a rose is like one of the few songs from the 90s that can really stand the test of time. It never gets old and dated. Awesome song.

There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea.
You became the light on the dark side of me.
Love remained a drug that's the high and not the pill.

But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and,
The light that you shine can be seen.

Baby,
I might compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey.
Ooh,
The more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom,
A light hits the gloom on the grey.

There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.

You remain,
My power, my pleasure, my pain.
Baby, to me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny
Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby?

But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.

Baby,
I might compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey.
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah.

Now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grey,

I've been kissed by a rose on the grey,
I've been kissed by a rose ( on the grey)
...And if I should fall, at all
I've been kissed by a rose (on the grey)

There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.

You remain
My power, my pleasure, my pain.

To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny
Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby.

But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and,
the light that you shine can be seen.

Baby,
I might compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey,
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah

Now that your rose is in bloom,
A light hits the gloom on the grey.

Yes I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey.
Ooh, the more I get of you
the stranger it feels, yeah.

Now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grey,

Now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grey.

Get over yourself

Have you ever had the experience, that it is so difficult to talk to some people that you end up making a fool of yourself? You really want to have a good conversation with that particular person but somehow, the responses are less than warm, they seem to be only able to speak in one word sentences and their body language seems to be so closed up. You try to keep the conversation going but your best efforts go to nought. You find yourself blabbering like an idiot and saying stupid things. Soon, you run out of topics and the atmosphere just turns from cool to frosty. At that point, you realise that it is no longer wise to try to force the issue and you just give up. You wonder what is wrong with yourself and a vicious cycle begins. You try to make conversation with the person the next time you meet but it just gets worse and worse. The person just seems disinterested.

Then there are people you can tell your whole life story to. You just say 'hi' and soon the conversation runs into the hours. You can talk about anything and everything and even nothing at all. The person just engages you in the conversation and makes you feel comfortable. They are interested, warm and open in their body language. You don't have to purposefully think of topics to talk about and sound so forced and fake. Things just flow. Then a cycle starts. You want to talk to that person even more and the more you talk, the more comfortable you get and the more comfortable you get, the more you talk.

Then there are people who blow hot and cold so you don't know which way to go. They can talk to you like the people from the second category at times and at other times, represent the 'best' of the first category. You don't know what to think and how to deal with it. You feel that you are an blabbering idiot at times and at other times, you feel marginally like a friend. You are so confused. What do you do? A cycle starts as well. You try to determine which kind of person you are talking to. You try different methods. But it is not the methods you try. Everything is hit-or-miss. The exact same method used to get a conversation started before fails miserably. The failed attempt to get the conversation rolling the other time suddenly works! You don't know whether or not to get closer or just keep your distance.

Sometimes, political correct-ness gets tiring. One can't just go, 'I don't want to talk to you, get out of my breathing space.' Usually, people go, 'I am so polite that I am not going to outrightly chase you away but I am going to be so subtle about it that you just leave out of discomfort.' If you don't want to talk to a person, you should just say so. Cruel, perhaps. Cold, maybe. But it gets tiring to be always second guessing and trying to be likable to people who obviously can't connect with you. I am not so thick-skinned and thick-skulled that I enjoy slamming my head against the wall every time I talk to you. I don't want my head to get messed up anymore. Get over yourself, like how I am getting over you.

Failure

I was just struck with this thought. I have been living my whole life thus far so afraid of failure and rejection, when in actual fact failure is never fatal nor final. I need a paradigm shift in my thinking, to dare to stick my neck out and risk it. I can't and won't play it safe my whole life and wonder about the what ifs. No regrets, because therein lies the path to madness.

Lucky

This is my current favourite song! So sweet! Hahaha. And don't go drawing any weird conclusions and extrapolations from this.. I just like this song! :D And Colbie Caillat looks awesome, with her sun-kisssed skin and all. Wow!:) And don't you think that she looks like Jennifer Aniston from certain angles?
